2026: Year of the Fire Horse

Join me in letting go of old patterns and welcoming new passionate ambition!

Educational Program

April-October I operate an educational program for children ages 4-and-up. Please contact me to learn more or sign up.

  • Learn basic horse handling skills that will form your foundation and start your journey. You will become confident in your ability to lead a horse or pony through several in hand skills such as circling and walking. You will also learn to properly groom and tack up an equine for one or multiple disciplines. Your riding is mostly focused on balance and timing. You will get to know how to find your position and begin understanding communication from the saddle.

  • I offer ground work and riding lessons for those who have begun horsemanship and are eager to learn more. These lesson are your next step in communicating and connecting with equines. Your confidence in the saddle and on the ground will progress as you learn simple patterns and riding or guiding the trot. We will build your knowledge of ground work to give you more “tools in your tool box” then we will begin the foundations of liberty ground work and bridle-less riding. Now that you have built your skills and dedication the fun really starts!

  • Learn to refine your horsemanship and gain interest in a discipline or trail riding. Enjoy working at liberty on the ground, bridle-less riding, cantering, and trail riding. This is where we really look into the minds of these incredible animals. We will talk about their language, how they think and feel, and use this information in our work. These lessons are truly focused on a progressive partnership between horse and human. My goal is to help you further your journey whether that means you want a horse of your own someday, or not. I want you to leave my arena feeling confident, knowledgeable and happy.

  • This is a group lesson on the ground for two to four children ages 5-9. Does your little one have interest in ponies but no, or not much, experience with them? I’m offering a chance to get to know some really sweet ponies and do some fun group activities that teach us about equines. We talk about how different animals think and feel specifically how ponies like to be treated. I help the kids learn how to keep themselves and each other calm, happy, and in the right place at the right time around large animals. They learn how to groom the ponies and also get to practice leading the ponies on a little walk. We discuss the diet of ponies and go foraging ourselves for native plants, which we make into a booklet for later reference. This is not a riding opportunity.

  • Welcome back! This is another group lesson for those enthusiastic kiddos who did my Ponies 101 lesson, loved it, and are considering signing up for regular lessons or want a little more pony time. We will refresh their leading skills, add a walk to trot transition in hand, then add some new skills like circling a pony on your lead line. We will also help each other do a pony ride! With my help everyone will get the opportunity to lead a pony with a rider and also ride the pony as a friend leads you. This is a great moment to explore some leadership, team work, and communication skills. This class also includes education about tack, diet and equine care.

Appropriate riding attire is required for all students participating in mounted lessons. Students must provide their own properly fitting horse riding helmet, boots with 1/4” heel, and breaches or legging.

No rubber boots, jeans, or helmets with unicorn horns, please. Students will be asked to change improper attire before riding. This is for safety, not style, let me know if you have any questions about where to purchase appropriate attire.

My Vision

My focus is to bring together horses and humans in an educational setting.

To learn as a team.

Develop ourselves as partners and confident leaders.

And Have Fun!

Our relationships that we have with horses mirror the ones we have with fellow humans and ourselves. Let’s learn to be kind, have clear & healthy boundaries, and communicate effectively.
